The post Meet the Star-Studded Cast of Sam Mendes’ “The Beatles – A Four-Film Cinematic Event” appeared first on Gingerize.
]]>Mendes took the stage at Sony’s CinemaCon presentation to share some details about this project and revealed he’s been trying to make it for years. He wanted to bring The Beatles’ story to the big screen because they “redefined the culture and stayed with you for a lifetime” and described them “the most significant band of all time.”
After months of speculations about the film’s casting, Mendes finally confirmed the rumors and invited the four lead actors to join him on stage. The cast will be led by Paul Mescal as Paul McCartney, Joseph Quinn as George Harrison, Barry Keoghan as Ringo Starr, and Harris Dickinson as John Lennon.
The Beatles – A Four-Film Cinematic Event will be released in April 2028, while the principal photography on all four films will take about a year. Mendes described the four films as the first “bingeable moment in cinema” and explained he decided to direct a separate film about each member of the Fab Four because “the story was too big for one film.”

His death was confirmed immediately by the emergency medical team, and fans later gathered in front of the hotel to build a memorial in his honor.
Tributes poured in from many of Payne’s peers and past collaborators, including the former members of One Direction – Niall Horan, Harry Styles, Louis Tomlinson, and Zayn Malik. They all shared individual statements, in addition to a joint press release, which read, “We will take some time to grieve and process the loss of our brother, who we loved dearly. The memories we shared with him will be treasured forever.”
Payne was a part of One Direction between 2010 and 2016, and they became a true global phenomenon and one of the best-selling boy bands of all time. After parting ways, Payne started working on his solo music and released his first album LP1 in 2019.

]]>Shōgun was the main contender at this year’s Emmy Awards with a total of 25 nods, and it managed to live up to the hype. It won 14 trophies at the Creative Arts Emmy Awards and four more at the Primetime Emmy Awards for a total of 18, thus setting a record for most wins by a series in a single year. It also made history as the first non-English series to win the outstanding drama award.
It was also a night to remember for The Bear, despite the fact it lost the outstanding comedy series award to Hacks. FX’s hit series walked away with four trophies at the Primetime Emmy Awards for a total of 11 wins this year, making history as the most coveted comedy series in a single season.
Netflix’s viral hit Baby Reindeer also lived up to the hype and emerged as one of the top winners with four major awards. It was named outstanding limited or anthology series, while its leading duo Richard Gadd and Jessica Gunning won awards in the acting field.
Eugene Levy and Dan Levy joined forces to host the 2024 Primetime Emmy Awards, which took place on September 15 at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles.

]]>Snow White marks Disney’s latest attempt to put a live-action twist on one of their classics, and it’s based on the 1937 film Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. It chronicles the journey of a young princess, who is exiled from her home by her evil stepmother, only to find a new chosen family with a group of seven dwarfs living deep in the forest.
The first trailer sees Rachel Zegler trying to make the best of her new life while getting the dwarfs’ house in order to the beat of “Whistle While You Work”. Gal Gadot’s Evil Queen is determined to keep her away from the throne and stay “the fairest of them all” in Snow White’s absence.
Andrew Burnap as Jonathan, Ansu Kabia as the Huntsman, Dujonna Gift as Maple, Martin Klebba as Grumpy, and Colin Michael Carmichael in a mystery role are also a part of the film’s supporting cast.
Snow White will arrive in theaters on March 21, 2025, after its release date was postponed by a year.

]]>Lucius Verus was a side character in the first film, when he was introduced as the young son of Marcus Aurelius and Lucilla. Two decades later, he lives in obscurity in the coastal town of Numidia, until he’s plucked from his home by the Roman army.
He’s forced into slavery and must fight for his freedom in the arena, side by side alongside other gladiators. Inspired by the tale of Maximus, he’s determined to use his time in the Colosseum to challenge the rule of emperors Caracalla and Geta.
Normal People’s Paul Mescal is taking over from Russell Crowe as the leading man, and he’ll be joined by Pedro Pascal, Connie Nielsen, Denzel Washington, Joseph Quinn, plus Fred Hechinger, Derek Jacobi, May Calamawy, Tim McInnerny, Alexander Karim, and Rory McCann in supporting roles.
Gladiator II is set to premiere in international theatres on November 15, before heading to North America on November 22.

]]>HBO’s head of drama Francesca Orsi announced the show’s renewal in an official statement and said they could not be more thrilled to continue the story of House Targaryen. She praised co-creators George R.R. Martin and Ryan Condal and their amazing cast and crew for putting dragon-sized effort into the phenomenal Season 2.
Set 172 years before the birth of Daenerys Targaryen, House of the Dragon chronicles the rise and fall of her family. They once ruled the Seven Kingdoms with an iron fist, but it all came crashing down with the Dance of the Dragons, the harrowing war of succession that led to their downfall.
House of the Dragon featured a star-studded ensemble cast, which includes Emma D’Arcy, Olivia Cooke, Matt Smith, Rhys Ifans, Steve Toussaint, Eve Best, Fabien Frankel, Matthew Needham, Sonoya Mizuno, Tom Glynn-Carney, and Ewan Mitchell.
They’re all back for the show’s eight-episode second season, which premiered on HBO on June 16.
