Disney’s D23 Expo returned to Anaheim this past weekend, and it’s given us a glimpse of several highly-anticipated projects. The live-action remake of Snow White was one of them, and its stars Rachel Zegler and Gal Gadot shared the first teaser trailer with the world.
Snow White marks Disney’s latest attempt to put a live-action twist on one of their classics, and it’s based on the 1937 film Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. It chronicles the journey of a young princess, who is exiled from her home by her evil stepmother, only to find a new chosen family with a group of seven dwarfs living deep in the forest.
The first trailer sees Rachel Zegler trying to make the best of her new life while getting the dwarfs’ house in order to the beat of “Whistle While You Work”. Gal Gadot’s Evil Queen is determined to keep her away from the throne and stay “the fairest of them all” in Snow White’s absence.
Andrew Burnap as Jonathan, Ansu Kabia as the Huntsman, Dujonna Gift as Maple, Martin Klebba as Grumpy, and Colin Michael Carmichael in a mystery role are also a part of the film’s supporting cast.
Snow White will arrive in theaters on March 21, 2025, after its release date was postponed by a year.
