“Heartstopper” Ending With a Netflix Movie After Three Seasons

The Season 3 finale of Heartstopper left us wondering what the future holds for Nick and Charlie, and we’ll soon get all the answers we’re looking for. The beloved coming-of-age series won’t come back for Season 4, but Netflix is planning to give it an ending it deserves in the form of a feature-length film.

Alice Oseman, the writer of the original Heartstopper graphic novels and the creator of its Netflix adaptation, said she’s “completely overjoyed” to get a chance to tell the end of this story. She expressed gratitude to everyone who worked hard to make this happen and thanked the fans for their patience and passion.

The Heartstopper film will take place after the events of Season 3, and it will explore how inevitable milestones affect the maturing characters. Nick and Charlie will have to navigate the reality of a long-distance relationship and confront the bittersweet challenges of growing up and moving on with the rest of their friends.

Kit Connor and Joe Locke are returning as Nick and Charlie, in addition to being credited as executive producers of the final Heartstopper film. The ensemble cast of the original series also included Yasmin Finney, Tobie Donovan, Jenny Walser, Corinna Brown, Kizzy Edgell, Rhea Norwood, and Olivia Colman.
