Katy Perry’s Burger Dress
At the after-party of the 2019 Met Gala with the theme “Camp: Notes on Fashion”, Katy Perry turned heads when she arrived as a burger. Why a burger dress? Scott told Vogue, “I was thinking about how at the end of the ball everyone is ready to kick off their heels, toss off their corsets and eat some junk food.” Katy’s burger dress had the classic ingredients, including pickles, tomatoes, and lettuce. On her head, Katy wore a sequined cap complete with a toothpick.
Joan Small’s Cake Dress
It was a full blast Marie Antoinette-themed catwalk at Scott’s 2020 Milan Autumn/Winter fashion show. For her runway look, Joan Smalls was decked in a strapless 4-tier, cream-cake dress, complete with rose frosting decor. She also wore pink pumps with white icing. In his British Vogue interview, Scott said that this was his way of poking fun at politics. “Because sometimes a bit of decadence is the best form of rebellion you can have.”
Lizzo’s Hershey’s Chocolate Bar Dress
Lizzo chose a very sweet look indeed when she arrived in a custom Hershey’s chocolate bar dress for the 2020 Brit Awards. The chocolate bar dress is actually from Scott’s 2014 Fall/Winter collection and was modeled by Jourdan Dunn. For Lizzo, the dress was converted from the original strapless into a one-shoulder, with the 25-cent symbol and logo highlighted.
