“Now You See Me 3” Taps Ariana Greenblatt, Justice Smith, & Dominic Sessa

Now You See Me 3 has been stuck in development for years, but it turns out that Lionsgate has a few tricks left up its sleeve. This franchise is alive and kicking, after Ariana Greenblatt, Justice Smith, and Dominic Sessa were cast to play a new generation of illusionists.

The first two films in the Now You See Me series followed the adventures of the Four Horsemen, the illusionist quartet using their elaborate stage productions to pull off heists of epic proportions. Their journey will continue in the third film, which will also feature a group of magicians from a younger generation.

Lionsgate rounded out a pretty impressive group of young actors to join the cast, including Ariana Greenblatt (Barbie), Justice Smith (Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves), and Dominic Sessa (The Holdovers).

They’re expected to join the stars of the original two films, including Jesse Eisenberg, Woody Harrelson, Isla Fisher, Dave Franco, Mark Ruffalo, and Morgan Freeman. The latest draft of the script was penned by Eric Warren Singer, Seth Graham Smith, and Mike Lesslie, with Ruben Fleischer on board to direct.

Now You See Me and Now You See Me 2 came out in 2013 and 2016, and earned nearly $700 million at the global box office.
