Just when we thought that award season was long behind us, the iHeartRadio Music Awards returned to LA to celebrate the best music of the past year on Monday night. Taylor Swift led the way with six wins, but she was closely followed by SZA, who collected the coveted song of the year award.
2023 was definitely the year of Taylor Swift, so it wasn’t a shocker to see her named artist of the year at the iHeartRadio Music Awards, beating the likes of SZA, Drake, Miley Cyrus, and Olivia Rodrigo, among others.
She came into the night with a total of nine nods and eventually collected six awards, including pop artist of the year, best lyrics for “Is It Over Now?”, TikTok bop of the year for “Cruel Summer”, plus tour of the year and favorite tour style for The Eras Tour.
SZA was also one of the ceremony’s top winners with four accolades, starting with the song of the year for her chart-topping hit “Kill Bill”. She was also named the R&B artist of the year, in addition to winning R&B album of the year for SOS and R&B song of the year for “Snooze”.
Ludacris hosted this year’s iHeartRadio Music Awards, which took place on April 1 at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles.
