]]>The first two films in the Now You See Me series followed the adventures of the Four Horsemen, the illusionist quartet using their elaborate stage productions to pull off heists of epic proportions. Their journey will continue in the third film, which will also feature a group of magicians from a younger generation.
Lionsgate rounded out a pretty impressive group of young actors to join the cast, including Ariana Greenblatt (Barbie), Justice Smith (Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves), and Dominic Sessa (The Holdovers).
They’re expected to join the stars of the original two films, including Jesse Eisenberg, Woody Harrelson, Isla Fisher, Dave Franco, Mark Ruffalo, and Morgan Freeman. The latest draft of the script was penned by Eric Warren Singer, Seth Graham Smith, and Mike Lesslie, with Ruben Fleischer on board to direct.
Now You See Me and Now You See Me 2 came out in 2013 and 2016, and earned nearly $700 million at the global box office.

]]>Oppenheimer was crowned with the coveted best picture trophy, beating the likes of Barbie, The Holdovers, Poor Things, Killers of the Flower Moon, Maestro, American Fiction, Anatomy of a Fall, Past Lives, and The Zone of Interest. Christopher Nolan also finally won his long-awaited first best director Oscar for helming this acclaimed biopic.
Cillian Murphy and Robert Downey Jr. also had a reason to celebrate, after walking away with Oscars for best actor and best supporting actor for Oppenheimer. Emma Stone won the best actress trophy for Poor Things, while Da’Vine Joy Randolph continued her best supporting actress sweep with an Oscar win for The Holdovers.
Oppenheimer was also the leader in the technical field with additional three Oscars, for best original score, best cinematography, and best film editing. The list of films with multiple accolades also included Poor Things with four and The Zone of Interest with two.
The 96th Academy Awards took place at the iconic Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles on March 10, with Jimmy Kimmel hosting ABC’s live ceremony.

]]>Oppenheimer was competing against Anatomy of a Fall, The Holdovers, Killers of the Flower Moon, and Poor Things in the coveted best picture field, and managed to beat them all to take the ceremony’s main award home.
Nolan was finally honored with his first best director BAFTA, while the film’s stars Cillian Murphy and Robert Downey Jr. won acting awards for their respective performances. Oppenheimer also emerged as the leader in several technical fields, including best cinematography, editing, and original score.
Poor Things was right behind with five wins, but all the major awards slipped through its fingers, with the exception of Emma Stone’s best actress trophy. It lost the outstanding British film award to The Zone of Interest, which was also named the best film not in the English language.
The 2024 BAFTA Awards were held on February 18 at the Royal Festival Hall in London, with David Tennant taking over hosting duties for the first time.

]]>Grande gave us a taste of Eternal Sunshine with the lead single “Yes, And?”, which she dropped on January 12. This song became an instant hit, debuting atop the Billboard Hot 100, becoming her sixth No. 1 debut in the US and the eighth single to top the chart overall.
Grande’s fans have been patiently awaiting its follow-up ever since, but they’ll have to wait a little bit longer. The singer recently took to social media to reveal she’s not planning to drop any more singles before Eternal Sunshine hits the shelves on March 8.
“As hard as it is to resist the urge to share another song or single with you ASAP, I would really love for you to experience the album in full this time… Waiting a little longer for you to be able to listen fully through first really is my ideal way for you all to experience this body of work,” explained Grande in a recent Instagram story.

]]>These three films are the main contenders for the coveted best picture award – but they’re not alone. American Fiction, Anatomy of a Fall, Barbie, The Holdovers, Maestro, Past Lives, and The Zone of Interest also made it to this highly competitive field.
Oppenheimer topped the list of nominees with 13 nods total, including the best director for Christopher Nolan. Poor Things’ Yorgos Lanthimos and Flower Moon’s Martin Scorsese also scored nominations in this category, along with Anatomy of a Fall’s Justine Triet and The Zone of Interest’s Jonathan Glazer.
Oppenheimer is also the main contender in the acting field with three nods for its stars Cillian Murphy, Emily Blunt, and Robert Downey Jr. The atom-bomb epic also emerged as the front-runner in numerous technical categories, such as best cinematography and best sound.
Poor Things received a total of 11 nominations, followed by Flower Moon with 10, Barbie with eight, and Maestro with seven. They’ll get the chance to compete for the film industry’s highest honor on March 10, when the Oscars are set to return to LA’s Dolby Theatre with the host Jimmy Kimmel.

]]>Like Taika Waititi and Jemaine Clement’s film that it’s based on, What We Do in the Shadow follows a group of centuries-old vampires who are hilariously trying to navigate the complexities of life in the modern world.
The main difference is that the spin-off series shifted the setting to Staten Island, New York, and centered on vampire roommates Nandor the Relentless (Kayvan Novak), Leslie “Laszlo” Cravensworth (Matt Berry), Nadja of Antipaxos (Natasia Demetriou), and Colin Robinson (Mark Proksch).
FX didn’t give a reason for the show’s cancelation, but its ratings have significantly slipped during the latest season. Season 5 premiere was down 35% in total viewers on FX and struggled to maintain the audience, but the show’ most likely attracted more viewers on Hulu.
What We Do in the Shadows impressed fans and critics alike after premiering on FX in 2019. The witty writing and stellar ensemble cast helped it become a cult classic and attract 21 Emmy nominations, including two for the outstanding comedy series.

]]>The new teaser trailer for The Crown offered quite a walk down memory lane, showing Queen Elizabeth’s transformation as she climbs up the stairs to face the music, during what seems to be another turning point for the British monarchy.
Imelda Staunton will return as Queen Elizabeth in Season 6, but the new teaser also offers a glimpse of the previous actresses who played her: Claire Foy and Olivia Colman. The teaser opens with Foy delivering the speech about what the crown stands for and the life she had to put aside after taking on her duty as the queen.
In addition to Staunton, Jonathan Pryce (Prince Philip), Lesley Manville (Princess Margaret), Elizabeth Debicki (Princess Diana), Dominic West (Prince Charles), Salim Daw (Mohamed Al Fayed), and Khalid Abdalla (Dodi Fayed) will also return to their respective roles from the show’s previous season.
The Crown will return to Netflix on November 16 with four episodes, while the remaining six are set to premiere on December 14.

]]>Barbie hit the theatres on July 21, and won over critics and moviegoers alike with the tale of our favorite childhood doll, embarking on a journey of self-discovery in the real world after experiencing an existential crisis. Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling received critical acclaim for their performances as Barbie and Ken and helped create a lot of buzz for this project.
Barbie knocked it out of the park as soon as it hit the theatres on July 21, despite facing tough competition in Christopher Nolan’s Oppenheimer and being banned and censored in several countries around the globe. It grossed a worldwide total of $356.3 million during its opening weekend and scored the largest domestic opening for a female-directed film.
Barbie also went on to become the highest-grossing film solely directed by a woman, and it set several major milestones for Warner Bros. After crossing the 1.365 billion mark last weekend, Barbie is now officially the highest-grossing film of 2023, breaking the record previously held by The Super Mario Bros. Movie.

It scored the second-biggest streaming week and second-largest week in album sales of 2023, in addition to becoming the best-selling R&B/hip-hop vinyl album since Luminate started tracking sales in 1991.
Utopia did pretty great on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, with all of its 19 tracks ranking on this summit, bringing Scott’s career total from 93 to 111 Hot 100 hits, making him the 15th artist in history with 100-plus career entries. “Meltdown” ft. ]]>The first two films in the Now You See Me series followed the adventures of the Four Horsemen, the illusionist quartet using their elaborate stage productions to pull off heists of epic proportions. Their journey will continue in the third film, which will also feature a group of magicians from a younger generation.
Lionsgate rounded out a pretty impressive group of young actors to join the cast, including Ariana Greenblatt (Barbie), Justice Smith (Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves), and Dominic Sessa (The Holdovers).
They’re expected to join the stars of the original two films, including Jesse Eisenberg, Woody Harrelson, Isla Fisher, Dave Franco, Mark Ruffalo, and Morgan Freeman. The latest draft of the script was penned by Eric Warren Singer, Seth Graham Smith, and Mike Lesslie, with Ruben Fleischer on board to direct.
Now You See Me and Now You See Me 2 came out in 2013 and 2016, and earned nearly $700 million at the global box office.

]]>Oppenheimer was crowned with the coveted best picture trophy, beating the likes of Barbie, The Holdovers, Poor Things, Killers of the Flower Moon, Maestro, American Fiction, Anatomy of a Fall, Past Lives, and The Zone of Interest. Christopher Nolan also finally won his long-awaited first best director Oscar for helming this acclaimed biopic.
Cillian Murphy and Robert Downey Jr. also had a reason to celebrate, after walking away with Oscars for best actor and best supporting actor for Oppenheimer. Emma Stone won the best actress trophy for Poor Things, while Da’Vine Joy Randolph continued her best supporting actress sweep with an Oscar win for The Holdovers.
Oppenheimer was also the leader in the technical field with additional three Oscars, for best original score, best cinematography, and best film editing. The list of films with multiple accolades also included Poor Things with four and The Zone of Interest with two.
The 96th Academy Awards took place at the iconic Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles on March 10, with Jimmy Kimmel hosting ABC’s live ceremony.

]]>Oppenheimer was competing against Anatomy of a Fall, The Holdovers, Killers of the Flower Moon, and Poor Things in the coveted best picture field, and managed to beat them all to take the ceremony’s main award home.
Nolan was finally honored with his first best director BAFTA, while the film’s stars Cillian Murphy and Robert Downey Jr. won acting awards for their respective performances. Oppenheimer also emerged as the leader in several technical fields, including best cinematography, editing, and original score.
Poor Things was right behind with five wins, but all the major awards slipped through its fingers, with the exception of Emma Stone’s best actress trophy. It lost the outstanding British film award to The Zone of Interest, which was also named the best film not in the English language.
The 2024 BAFTA Awards were held on February 18 at the Royal Festival Hall in London, with David Tennant taking over hosting duties for the first time.

]]>Grande gave us a taste of Eternal Sunshine with the lead single “Yes, And?”, which she dropped on January 12. This song became an instant hit, debuting atop the Billboard Hot 100, becoming her sixth No. 1 debut in the US and the eighth single to top the chart overall.
Grande’s fans have been patiently awaiting its follow-up ever since, but they’ll have to wait a little bit longer. The singer recently took to social media to reveal she’s not planning to drop any more singles before Eternal Sunshine hits the shelves on March 8.
“As hard as it is to resist the urge to share another song or single with you ASAP, I would really love for you to experience the album in full this time… Waiting a little longer for you to be able to listen fully through first really is my ideal way for you all to experience this body of work,” explained Grande in a recent Instagram story.

]]>These three films are the main contenders for the coveted best picture award – but they’re not alone. American Fiction, Anatomy of a Fall, Barbie, The Holdovers, Maestro, Past Lives, and The Zone of Interest also made it to this highly competitive field.
Oppenheimer topped the list of nominees with 13 nods total, including the best director for Christopher Nolan. Poor Things’ Yorgos Lanthimos and Flower Moon’s Martin Scorsese also scored nominations in this category, along with Anatomy of a Fall’s Justine Triet and The Zone of Interest’s Jonathan Glazer.
Oppenheimer is also the main contender in the acting field with three nods for its stars Cillian Murphy, Emily Blunt, and Robert Downey Jr. The atom-bomb epic also emerged as the front-runner in numerous technical categories, such as best cinematography and best sound.
Poor Things received a total of 11 nominations, followed by Flower Moon with 10, Barbie with eight, and Maestro with seven. They’ll get the chance to compete for the film industry’s highest honor on March 10, when the Oscars are set to return to LA’s Dolby Theatre with the host Jimmy Kimmel.

]]>Like Taika Waititi and Jemaine Clement’s film that it’s based on, What We Do in the Shadow follows a group of centuries-old vampires who are hilariously trying to navigate the complexities of life in the modern world.
The main difference is that the spin-off series shifted the setting to Staten Island, New York, and centered on vampire roommates Nandor the Relentless (Kayvan Novak), Leslie “Laszlo” Cravensworth (Matt Berry), Nadja of Antipaxos (Natasia Demetriou), and Colin Robinson (Mark Proksch).
FX didn’t give a reason for the show’s cancelation, but its ratings have significantly slipped during the latest season. Season 5 premiere was down 35% in total viewers on FX and struggled to maintain the audience, but the show’ most likely attracted more viewers on Hulu.
What We Do in the Shadows impressed fans and critics alike after premiering on FX in 2019. The witty writing and stellar ensemble cast helped it become a cult classic and attract 21 Emmy nominations, including two for the outstanding comedy series.

]]>The new teaser trailer for The Crown offered quite a walk down memory lane, showing Queen Elizabeth’s transformation as she climbs up the stairs to face the music, during what seems to be another turning point for the British monarchy.
Imelda Staunton will return as Queen Elizabeth in Season 6, but the new teaser also offers a glimpse of the previous actresses who played her: Claire Foy and Olivia Colman. The teaser opens with Foy delivering the speech about what the crown stands for and the life she had to put aside after taking on her duty as the queen.
In addition to Staunton, Jonathan Pryce (Prince Philip), Lesley Manville (Princess Margaret), Elizabeth Debicki (Princess Diana), Dominic West (Prince Charles), Salim Daw (Mohamed Al Fayed), and Khalid Abdalla (Dodi Fayed) will also return to their respective roles from the show’s previous season.
The Crown will return to Netflix on November 16 with four episodes, while the remaining six are set to premiere on December 14.

]]>Barbie hit the theatres on July 21, and won over critics and moviegoers alike with the tale of our favorite childhood doll, embarking on a journey of self-discovery in the real world after experiencing an existential crisis. Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling received critical acclaim for their performances as Barbie and Ken and helped create a lot of buzz for this project.
Barbie knocked it out of the park as soon as it hit the theatres on July 21, despite facing tough competition in Christopher Nolan’s Oppenheimer and being banned and censored in several countries around the globe. It grossed a worldwide total of $356.3 million during its opening weekend and scored the largest domestic opening for a female-directed film.
Barbie also went on to become the highest-grossing film solely directed by a woman, and it set several major milestones for Warner Bros. After crossing the 1.365 billion mark last weekend, Barbie is now officially the highest-grossing film of 2023, breaking the record previously held by The Super Mario Bros. Movie.

It scored the second-biggest streaming week and second-largest week in album sales of 2023, in addition to becoming the best-selling R&B/hip-hop vinyl album since Luminate started tracking sales in 1991.
Utopia did pretty great on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, with all of its 19 tracks ranking on this summit, bringing Scott’s career total from 93 to 111 Hot 100 hits, making him the 15th artist in history with 100-plus career entries. “Meltdown” ft. Drake and “FE!N,” ft. Playboi Carti made it to the top five this week, while the lead single “K-Pop” ft. Bad Bunny and The Weeknd previously debuted at No. 7.
In addition to topping the US Billboard 200 chart, Utopia soared to No. 1 in several other countries, including Australia and Canada. It also became Scott’s first No. 1 album in the UK and even earned the biggest streaming week for a 2023 album in the country.
