Netflix knocked it out of the park with the first season of Nobody Wants This, and they’re betting big on its future. Kristen Bell and Adam Brody are gearing up for another chapter of this acclaimed rom-com series after the streaming giant renewed it for a second season.
Nobody Wants This explores the concept of unconventional relationships through the story of the brash dating podcaster Joanne and a rookie rabbi Noah. Despite their different backgrounds and ways of life, they find themselves falling for each other, but will they be able to overcome many obstacles on their path, including their meddling families?
Kristen Bell and Adam Brody lead the cast of this series, with Justine Lupe, Timothy Simons, Stephanie Faracy, Michael Hitcock, Tovah Feldshuh, Paul Ben-Victor, Emily Arlook, Jackie Tohn, Sherry Cola, and Shiloh Berman in supporting roles.
Creator and executive producer Erin Foster loosely based Nobody Wants This on her own life and served as its showrunner in Season 1 alongside Craig DiGregorio. They’re stepping down in Season 2, with Jenni Konner and Bruce Eric Kaplan coming on board as new showrunners and joining the team as executive producers.
Nobody Wants This premiered on Netflix on September 26, and currently sits atop the streamer’s top ten list of English TV shows, with 15,9 million views and 70,4 million hours watched during its latest week.
