“The Bear” Will Officially Keep Serving TV Magic for Another Season

The first two seasons of The Bear ate and left no crumbs, and the third course is officially on the menu! This culinary drama became a true cultural phenomenon following its premiere last year, and FX announced they’re bringing it back for another season.

The Bear follows the young chef Carmen “Carmy” Berzatto, who decides to leave the world of fine dining behind following his brother’s suicide. He returns to his hometown of Chicago and does everything in his power to transform his family’s failing beef sandwich shop into a success story.

The ensemble cast of The Bear is led by Jeremy Allen White, while Ayo Edebiri, Ebon Moss-Bachrach, Lionel Boyce, Liza Colón-Zayas, Abby Elliott, and Matty Matheson star in supporting roles. Season 2 featured several notable A-list cameos from the likes of Jon Bernthal, Oliver Platt, Will Poulter, Olivia Colman, John Mulaney, Sarah Paulson, Bob Odenkirk, Jamie Lee Curtis, and Gillian Jacobs.

Nick Grad, president of FX Entertainment, confirmed the show’s renewal and praised The Bear for “[wowing] audiences in its first season only to achieve even greater heights in season two, has become a cultural phenomenon.” He gave a shout-out to its producers Christopher Storer, Joanna Calo, and Josh Senior, and said they’ve done “a truly remarkable” job alongside the show’s brilliant cast and crew.
