Chauncey Leopardi who is now 38, may have been the happiest, most love-struck kid to star in The Sandlot. We all remember the goofy loveable character who schemed the entire summer to land that much desired kiss from the local lifeguard, Wendy Peffercorn. Who could forget the giddiness and grin after Squints landed that wet one on Wendy? Leopardi has since starred in other shows throughout his acting career including – The Sandlot from Boy Meets World, 7th Heaven, Freaks and Geeks, Walker Texas Ranger, and Gilmore Girls. Leopadri also reprised his role as Squints in The Sandlot: Heading Home.
Leopardi spends most of his time with family and friends. He’s also still wearing those famous black thick-rimmed glasses and living his best life. It will always be a favorite coming of age movie, The Sandlot. And it’s difficult to believe that it has been over 27 years since it first hit the screens. We will always remember the cast of the film, and we’ll pass on this timeless movie to our kids, as well.
