A good romance based reality television show is the perfect thing to get hooked on, and Love Island is one of the best of them. The show takes a group of young, good looking, single men and women, places them in a villa in Mallorca, and requires them to couple up with someone to “survive.” It has the tension of a show like Survivor while also giving the dose of romance that we need to keep us hooked.
It is hard not to get caught up in the lives of the contestants on Love Island. Never has being paired off felt so vital and being single felt so genuinely frightening. Imagine if in real life your ability to move forward in life depended on you being in a relationship. Now that’s way too much pressure to find a partner!
