Kelly Clarkson Shares Exciting News About Tenth Studio Album “Chemistry”

Kelly Clarkson has been pretty busy with The Voice and her talk show in recent years, but she’s finally ready to grace us with some new music. She shared exciting news about her upcoming tenth studio album Chemistry, which is coming our way later this year.

Clarkson is yet to share the release date of her new LP, but she said it’s coming our way “really soon”. She wrote and recorded it in the wake of her recent divorce, and described it as “the arc of an entire relationship”, which explores both its good and bad sides.

When looking for the title for her new album, she wanted to pick a single word that perfectly captures its energy, and Chemistry felt like the right fit.

“Chemistry can be a really amazing, se-y, cool, fun thing, but it can also be very bad for you. So, that’s why I named it Chemistry. I thought it was kind of the perfect title to describe the entire album,” said Clarkson on Instagram.

Clarkson’s last “regular” studio album Meaning of Life was released in 2017, and it was followed by the Christmas album When Christmas Comes Around… and the covers EP Kellyoke. In the meantime, she’s been busy hosting The Kelly Clarkson Show and serving as one of the coaches on The Voice.
