Walt Disney’s Low Points in Life Will Inspire You

Walt Disney

It wasn’t all fairytales and happy endings for the famous Walt Disney. The legendary founder of the Walt Disney Company, the one who brought so much joy to children, faced his fair share of failures. Walt’s uphill battles started when he was fired from the Kansas City Star paper. The reason? He was told that “he lacked imagination and had no good ideas.” It’s hard to believe, but supposedly his Mickey Mouse cartoons were deemed too scary for women. He was also rejected when proposing “The Three Little Pigs” because he had too few characters (we guess four characters wasn’t enough back then).

When he attempted to start his first business venture, Laugh-O-Gram animation studio, it went belly up, and Walt filed for bankruptcy. Walt Disney kept on pursuing his dream and pushed through the failures. He would eventually build the Walt Disney Company; we’re sure you’ve heard of it! The company takes in billions of dollars and is a pillar in animation entertainment. Many children around the globe are eager to go to Disney Land and Disney World. The rumor is that before the Walt Disney Company was finally able to receive financing, it took Walt 302 times of trying. This just goes to show that perseverance and hard work payoff, and one should never give up on their dreams.
