Season 2 finale of And Just Like That… will air this week, and it’s time to raise our Cosmos because it won’t mark the ending of this story. The S-x and the City revival is officially coming back for another chapter after Max renewed it for its third season.
And Just Like That… reunited us with Sarah Jessica Parker, Kristin Davis, and Cynthia Nixon, the stars of the original S-x and the City franchise, two decades later. The story shifted from centering on a group of women navigating the complicated reality of life and friendship in their 30s, to doing the same during their 50s in New York City.
Season 2 opened with Parker’s Carrie dealing with her grief after losing her beloved husband Mr. Big at the end of the last season. Nixon’s Miranda was trying to figure herself out while navigating her complex relationship with Che (Sara Ramirez), while Davis’ Charlotte was busy trying to figure out who she is outside of her role as a devoted mother and wife.
And Just Like That… lacked the presence of Kim Cattrall’s Samantha Jones, but she’ll be back in the Season 2 finale! Cattrall agreed to make a brief cameo and return as her beloved S-x and the City character when the show’s second season wraps up on August 24.
