Taylor Swift has been touring for the past two months, but the sold-out concerts aren’t the only things keeping her busy. Shortly after announcing her first international dates for The Eras Tour, Swift returned to No. 1 with Midnights after dropping two deluxe editions of her latest studio album.
The release of The Til Dawn Edition and The Late Night Edition on May 26 propelled Midnights back to No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart, with 282,000 equivalent album units sold. She finally managed to knock down Morgan Wallen’s One Thing at a Time from the top of the summit, after the country star spent 12 consecutive weeks at No. 1.
The deluxe editions of Midnights benefited from the release of several new songs that weren’t featured on the original album or its 3 am Edition, including “Hits Different”, “You’re Losing Me”, the “Karma” remix featuring Ice Spice, and “Snow on the Beach” with more Lana Del Rey.
The success of new editions of Midnights comes just a few days after Swift announced she’s ready to take The Eras Tour worldwide. She’s currently busy touring across the US, but the new round of dates includes the first international concerts in Mexico, Argentina, and Brazil.
