Lupita Nyong’o collaborated with some of Hollywood’s best modern directors over the years, and she’s showing no signs of stopping. The Oscar-winning actress is the latest A-list star to join the star-studded cast of Christopher Nolan’s next mystery project.
After partnering up with Universal Pictures on his latest film Oppenheimer, which won seven Oscars at this year’s Academy Awards, Nolan is gearing up for another collaboration with this studio. His next film will hit the theaters on July 17, 2026, and plot details are still being kept under wraps.
Nolan’s new film was one star-studded affair even before Nyong’o was added to the cast. This project will mark the reunion between Nolan and Matt Damon, who recently starred in Oppenheimer, and Anne Hathaway, who appeared in his films The Dark Knight Rises and Interstellar. It will also star two of Hollywood’s brightest young actors – the Spider-Man co-stars Tom Holland and Zendaya.
They’ll be joined by Lupita Nyong’o, the Oscar-winning star of 12 Years a Slave, who found mainstream fame with the role of Nakia in the Black Panther franchise. She also starred in Queen of Katwe and Us, voiced characters in The Jungle Book and the Star Wars sequel trilogy, and most recently led A Quiet Place: Day One.
