Josh Brolin, Daryl McCormack & More Join “Knives Out 3”

The third film in the Knives Out franchise is on the way, and its cast will be one star-studded affair. Several acclaimed actors joined Daniel Craig in Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery in recent days, including Josh Brolin, Daryl McCormack, and Jeremy Renner.

After a lot of anticipation, Netflix finally confirmed that the third film in the Knives Out series is on the way by sharing a brief teaser on May 24. The short clip revealed that the upcoming sequel will be titled Wake Up Dead Man, without telling us anything about its plot or cast.

It didn’t take long for this film to round out its ensemble, and several exciting casting choices were announced in the upcoming days. Cailee Spaeny (Priscilla) and Josh O’Connor (Challengers) were the first actors added to the A-list cast, joining Daniel Craig as the world-famous detective Benoit Blanc.

Several more exciting casting news quickly followed, with Kerry Washington (Scandal), Mila Kunis (Bad Moms), Jeremy Renner (Avengers franchise), Daryl McCormack (Good Luck to You, Leo Grande), and Glenn Close (Dangerous Liaisons) hopping on board. Oscar nominee Josh Brolin (Dune franchise) is the latest addition to the cast.

Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery will mark the return of writer/director Rian Johnson, and it’s expected to premiere in 2025.
