News anchors are usually well-educated people. Keeping abreast of what’s going in the world, after all, is not something that’s easy to do. So it’s not so difficult to believe that CNN’s Anderson Cooper is a well-educated individual from the prestigious Yale University. What is truly surprising is that instead of journalism or broadcasting, he focused his energies on getting a political science degree.
Claire Danes
While Claire Danes probably got admitted into Yale by her own merits, the recommendation from one of the University’s best-known students, Oliver Stone probably didn’t hurt her chances. When acting was getting a little too intense for Claire, she decided to give normalcy a shot by enrolling in psychology classes at the prestigious school. However, the call of the acting profession was just too strong. She ended dropping out.
Jodie Foster
Jodie Foster was thrust into the world of celebrity at just 12 years old in the movie Taxi Driver with Robert De Niro. Like many of the other well-educated actors, she decided to go enroll at Yale to try to inject a sense of normalcy into her life. However, when a crazed admirer of the actress tried to assassinate President Ronald Reagan, in an attempt to impress her, it was became clear that she wouldn’t find the normal life she’s been dreaming of in school. Despite this, she pushed on with her studies and finished her degree in 1985.
