When acting was getting a little too intense for Claire, she decided to give normalcy a shot by enrolling in psychology classes at the prestigious school. However, the call of the acting profession was just too strong. She ended dropping out.

However, when a crazed admirer of the actress tried to assassinate President Ronald Reagan, in an attempt to impress her, it was became clear that she wouldn’t find the normal life she’s been dreaming of in school. Despite this, she pushed on with her studies and finished her degree in 1985.
