By Order of the “Peaky Blinders”, Sequel Film is Officially Happening!

Peaky Blinders fans have been waiting for the next chapter of this story for quite some time, and their prayers have finally been answered. Cillian Murphy is coming back as the notorious gangster Thomas Shelby after Netflix greenlit the sequel film inspired by the hit crime drama.

Peaky Blinders ran on BBC for six seasons and it followed the exploits of Birmingham’s crime gang Peaky Blinders in the wake of the First World War. Cillian Murphy led the cast as the fearless Peaky Blinders leader Thomas Shelby, while Helen McCrory, Paul Anderson, Sophie Rundle, Joe Cole, and Annabelle Wallis starred in supporting roles. Murphy is currently the only cast member attached to this project.

Not much is known about the sequel film at this point in time, but Peaky Blinders creator Steven Knight promises it’s going to be one wild ride.

“I’m genuinely thrilled that this movie is about to happen. It will be an explosive chapter in the Peaky Blinders story. No holds barred. Full-on Peaky Blinders at war,” said Knight in a statement.

He’s producing this project alongside Murphy, Caryn Mandabach, and Guy Heeley, while the director Tom Harper, David Kosse, Jamie Glazebrook, Andrew Warren, and David Mason are coming on board as executive producers.
