Beyoncé Joins Forces With AMC for “Renaissance World Tour” Concert Film

Beyoncé gave us one of the year’s most talked-about tours with Renaissance World Tour—and there’s more where that came from! Queen B joined forces with AMC Theaters for the exclusive concert film Renaissance: A Film by Beyoncé, set to premiere this December.

Renaissance: A Film by Beyoncé will celebrate the impact of Beyoncé’s latest world tour, which “created a sanctuary for freedom, and shared joy, for more than 2.7 million fans”, according to its official logline.

The film will also chronicle Beyoncé’s quest to create her legacy and master her craft during this tour, which took her all around Europe and North America before ending its run in Kansas City, Missouri on October 1. In addition to becoming a global phenomenon, the Renaissance World Tour shattered records along the way, and it became the highest-grossing tour by a female artist in history.

According to Variety, Renaissance: A Film by Beyoncé will include both concert and behind-the-scenes footage from the singer’s latest tour, along with the music videos from the visual album Renaissance.

This film will be distributed by AMC Theaters, starting on December 1, and Beyoncé is expected to receive over 50% of the box office gross after striking an exclusive deal with AMC through her productions company Parkwood Entertainment.
