It’s amazing how much music can change your life. I’ve always been a Texas girl at heart, and when one of the most famous Texans in all history, the Queen B herself, tweeted that she had this short documentary film coming out, I made sure to watch it. And oh boy, was I blown away. I never could’ve anticipated something like this coming out of my TV. HOMECOMING: A Film By Beyoncé was an audio-visual extravaganza like no other!
This film centers on Beyoncé’s experience at the 2018 Coachella music festival and features her performances as well as interviews of her and those close to her. To tell you the truth, ever since the Homecoming album itself came out, I’ve listened to at least one song a day, every day. That is how much Beyoncé has impacted my life and my personal music style. Seeing her on-screen belting out one spectacular performance after another just gives another layer of awesomeness; a level-up to the art of her music.
The first time I ever went to a Beyoncé concert was back in 2005 when she was still part of Destiny’s Child. The Netflix documentary captures the magic of her on-stage theatrics and power, and it’s a high-energy spectacle from start to finish. Truly, Queen B is one artist who will leave a part of her with you forever.
