Ariana Grande’s “Eternal Sunshine” Tops Billboard 200 & Hot 100 Charts

Ariana Grande knocked it out of the park with her latest album Eternal Sunshine, and its chart domination is finally upon us. Grande’s latest LP conquered the Billboard 200 chart during its debut week, while its latest single “We Can’t Be Friends” topped the Billboard Hot 100 chart.

Eternal Sunshine hit the shelves on March 8 and managed to earn 227,000 equivalent album units during its debut week, including 77,000 in album sales. This makes it Grande’s sixth album to hit No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart, with the largest week for any album in 2024 thus far.

As for the Hot 100 chart, Grande is also leading the way with her latest single “We Can’t Be Friends (Wait for Your Love)”. This song accompanied the release of Eternal Sunshine and managed to earn 32.6 million streams, 4.6 million radio airplay audience impressions, and 9,000 in sales during its debut week.

“We Can’t Be Friends” is a true record-breaker for Grande because it marks her seventh No. 1 Hot 100 debut, helping her break Taylor Swift’s record for most chart-topping debuts among female artists.

It also helped her become the only artist in history to have multiple Hot 100 chart-topping debuts from two different albums, since she also hit No. 1 with the lead single “Yes, And?” back in January.
