Lil’ Kim & Foxy Brown

One of the oldest female rap beefs was between Lil’ Kim and Foxy Brown. They were two of the sickest female emcees of the 90s, and things really escalated after they exchanged some words at each other.

One time outside of a radio station in New York, gunshots were fired between people associated with Kim and people associated with Foxy, apparently inspired by some of Foxy’s lyrics. The dispute between the two has never been resolved.

Lil’ Kim & Nicki Minaj

Kim is back on the list thanks to the comparisons people made between her and Nicki Minaj. Once Nicki became the hottest female rapper around, many noticed that the two had a similar style.

Nicki acknowledged the influence, but that did not stop things from intensifying, and the two released diss tracks towards each other.

Nicki Minaj & Azealia Banks

Another beef from Nicki was against Azealia Banks, though it was mostly just Banks who was verbally antagonizing Nicki. When both artists were nominated for “Best Female Hip Hop Artist” at the BET Awards in 2015, Azealia let her insecurities get the best of her.

 She took to Twitter and said, “The female rap award goes to Nicki every year, it’s not even a real award anymore lol it’s a running joke.” Ouch.
