We can count on Drake to set several new Billboard chart records every time he drops a new album, and he did it once again! His latest LP For All the Dogs became his 13th No. 1 album in the US, in addition to setting several new Billboard Hot 100 records.

For All the Dogs hit No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart following its release on October 6 with 402,000 album-equivalent units earned. With 13 No. 1 albums in the United States, Drake is just one LP away from tying Jay-Z with 14 chart-topping albums, but he’s still trailing far behind The Beatles with 19 No. 1 entries.

As for Drake’s success on the Billboard Hot 100, “First Person Shooter” ft. J. Cole became his 13th song to top this chart. By doing so, the Canadian rapper tied with Michael Jackson for the most No. 1 songs among solo male artists, but he’s still behind Rihanna (14), Mariah Carey (19), and The Beatles (20).

All 23 songs from For All the Dogs entered the Billboard Hot 100 chart this week, bringing Drake’s total to 320 entries, making him the first artist in history to pass the 300-song mark. He also holds records for most No. 1 debuts (nine), top five hits (41), top 10 hits (76), top 20 hits (132), and top 40 hits (199).

Submissions for the 2023 Grammys Awards are in… and they’re creating a lot of drama. Several of our favorite recording artists are feuding with the Recording Academy and refusing to submit their music or openly expressing their criticism of the nomination process.

Nicki Minaj

We get at least one star feuding with the Grammys over wrong category inclusion. This time around, it’s Nicki Minaj, who believes her song “Super Freaky Girl” should be nominated in rap and not pop categories, where it was classified by the Grammy bosses.

Drake

Drake withdrew his album “Certified Lover Boy” from Grammy consideration last year and his criticism of the Recording Academy continues. He didn’t submit his latest album Honestly, Nevermind for consideration either.

The Weekend

The Weekend decided to boycott the Grammys after his seminal album After Hours shockingly received zero nominations. He’s making good on his promise, and he refused to submit his latest record Dawn FM for Grammy consideration.

Silk Sonic

There doesn’t seem to be any bad blood between Silk Sonic and the Grammys, but they won’t be competing at the next year’s ceremony. After winning four Grammy trophies this year, the musical duo announced they’re withdrawing from award consideration.
