Change-Up Pronouns – Ryan Reynolds & Blake Lively
With two strong girls, this Hollywood power couple has decided to make it a mission to change up the way they speak by using more female pronouns. The couple wants to make it known to their little ones that women can be bosses too. Ryan jokes that he’s called his daughters “bossy,” but then states, “you’d never hear a man being called bossy.” Blake has said that her husband asked her, “why do I always refer to things in a he-centric way?” And she replied, “That’s just what we were taught.” Well, the two have decided to change-up pronouns and go against the norm.
No More Presents – Mila Kunis & Ashton Kutcher
It can be an easy upbringing when you’re born to famous celebs who have money. Children of celebs are born with a silver spoon in their mouths from the get-go. Both Kutcher and Kunis are completely aware of this and have decided to do away with presents altogether. They don’t want their children to grow up being too materialistic. After the grandparents had gone a bit too crazy with the gift-giving, the couple decided to donate a lot of the gifts to charity. They have states that they don’t want their kids to become too expectant. I think we all can take a lesson from this couple!
Genderless Upbringing – Kate Hudson
Hudson has claimed that she never really gave it much thought into what kind of clothes she bought. Raising her new baby girl Rani, she has taken the approach to raise her genderless and then let the child grow up to determine for themselves what they’ll identify as. It may seem a bit extra, but according to Hudson, this free approach to life makes total sense.
