Hannah Montana Fanatics on Twitter Freak Out Over John Cena and Jason Earles Being the Same Age in Real Life
Every kid who grew up on a steady diet of Disney would know Miley Stewart (Miley Cyrus), her dad Robby (Billy Rae Cyrus), and her brother Jackson (Jason Earles) in the wildly popular Hannah Montana series.
But did you know that Jason Earles is so much older than his 15-year old on-screen character?
In a viral tweet, @y_usraa wrote, “If you want to have your mind blown: John Cena and Jackson from Hannah Montana are the same age.”
John Cena actually made a cameo in one of the episodes of Hannah Montana, which explains the comparison between Jackson (Earles) and Cena’s ages. Both Cena and Earles were born in the same month and year. Cena was born April 23, 1977 while Jason was born April 26, 1977. This would mean that Jason was in fact 29 when he portrayed 15-year old Jackson in Hannah Montana!
What’s crazier is that Miley Cyrus was 13 at the time when she played 13-year old Miley Stewart. This means that Miley Stewart and Jackson Stewart were only 2 years apart, yet Jason Earles was able to pull off being a 15-year old character without anyone noticing anything!
It is common for actors to play characters not their age. But when you’re playing a character 14 years younger than yourself, that’s something!
