Lady Gaga Can’t Tell Between Isla Fisher and Amy Fisher Like Most of the Rest of Us
Hollywood doppelgangers Isla Fisher and Amy Adams have confused people for years as to who’s who. In fact, one of those who mistook Isla Fisher for Amy Adams was Mother Monster Lady Gaga herself.
In her Jimmy Kimmel Live! interview, Fisher shared the funny incident involving Lady Gaga at a Hollywood Vanity Fair party. Apparently, Lady Gaga made her way towards Fisher and complimented her for her performance (or actually Adams’ performance) in American Hustle. Fisher told Kimmel that though she would correct people when they mistake her for Adams, she thought twice about correcting Lady Gaga.
“I’m thinking ‘Oh my gosh. It’s Lady Gaga. I love her so much. I don’t want to tell her the truth…I just gracefully thanked her and bowed my head.”
She then added that when Lady Gaga started asking questions about the performance, Amy Adams walked into the party, to which Fisher responded with, “There’s Isla Fisher.”
To poke fun at the Isla-Adams confusion, Isla and Kimmel aired a hilarious PSA video where Fisher educates us on how to differentiate herself from Adams. The video was entitled “I’m Not Amy Adams”. Here is Fisher’s list of how to tell the two apart.
- “Amy Adams’ hair is auburn red. My hair is light auburn red.”
- “Amy Adams played Susan in Nocturnal Animals. I played Laura in Nocturnal Animals.”
- “Amy Adams has five Oscar nominations. I am a member of SAG.”
Fisher also added in her PSA video that she and Adams are not Jessica Chastain and that she is also not Wendy from the Wendy’s burger commercials.
