These Celebrities Were Involved In The Fyre Fest

We still have not gotten over the Fyre Fest. This epic fail was supposed to be a spectacular festival, and celebrities promoted it and gave it legitimacy. When people showed up, however, they saw it was all a mirage.

The man who spearheaded the fest went to jail, but the celebrities who contributed to the fraud got off scot-free. We, however, did not forget. Let’s take a look at some of the celebrities who were involved in the fest and contributed to the scam.

Ja Rule

If one celebrity was most closely associated with the fest, it was Ja Rule. He was the co-creator, and he heavily promoted it over social media.

Of course, when it all went down, he denied everything. Tweets went out saying “this is NOT MY FAULT” and “NOT A SCAM” but we will judge him anyway.

Bella Hadid

Supermodel Bella Hadid was one of the biggest names to promote the show, and she even appeared in the first promotional video that was made for it.

Unlike Ja, she owned up to her actions, writing “I feel so sorry and badly because this is something I can’t stand by, although of course if I would have known about the outcome, you would have all known too.”

Kendall Jenner

A scandal involving celebrity influencers wouldn’t be complete without a member of the Jenner/Kardashian family, and Kendall Jenner was among the celebrities who promoted the fest.

Not only did she share posts about it, he even announced that G.O.O.D. Music would be performing. G.O.O.D. Music is Kendall’s brother in law Kanye’s record label, but nobody on the roster performed at the fest.
