Do you know what acai is? A small berry indigenous to South American rainforests, it has been touted for its weight-loss properties, high levels of antioxidants, and oleic acids. It’s hard to find fresh, but is readily available frozen, making it perfect for smoothies! Try:
- 3⁄4 cup pomegranate juice
- 1⁄2 cup low-fat vanilla yogurt
- 3⁄4 cup frozen blueberries
- 1⁄2 cup ice cubes
- 31⁄2 oz frozen pouch açaí purée
Blend well. Makes 2 delicious servings!
