Our bodies regenerate about every seven years, meaning that we have a bit of leeway with the way we treat it (not that we’re advocating that!) However, there is one part of our bodies that we only get one shot at – our teeth. After your baby teeth fall out, what you’ve got in your mouth is what you’re stuck with for the rest of your life. Of course, implants and fake teeth are available, but are costly, uncomfortable, and not ideal.

Maintaining good oral health is essential for overall health and happiness, because really, who wants to spend hours in a dentists chair? Make sure you brush and floss regularly and visit your dentist at least twice a year. In between, chew on these foods for healthy teeth!

The first food to reach for are dark leafy greens. It seems like they show up on every list of healthy foods, with good reason! Packed full of nutrition, they also contain calcium and folic acid, which are essential for healthy teeth and enamel.

Throw some into a salad (baby spinach is delicious!), on top of pizza, or into a smoothie or frittata if you’re not crazy about the taste!
